Our pottery retreat with Laima Laurina in Toulouse countryside

October 2025

Our pottery retreat in the peaceful countryside of Toulouse was an unforgettable week of creativity, sunshine and connection. Set in a beautiful French estate surrounded by fields and vineyards, we welcomed a lovely group of creative souls from all around the world, each bringing their own warmth, curiosity and spark.

The talented Laima Laurina guided us through hand-building and sculpting with clay, encouraging everyone to slow down and reconnect with their creativity. Alongside her, our wonderful hosts Anissa, Marina and Cintia made sure every moment felt effortless, from the studio sessions to the shared meals and laughter by the pool (along with Champagne of course!).

Our private chef spoiled us daily with delicious, colourful dishes made with local produce, long lunches in the garden and dinners that quickly became some of our favourite memories.

We explored Giroussens, a small pottery village known for its many ateliers, where we met local artisans and discovered new techniques and inspirations.
Another highlights of the week was our day in Toulouse, the famous “pink city”. We wandered through art studios, boutique galleries and narrow pastel streets, soaking up the creative atmosphere.

Baking retreat in France

Back at the estate, afternoons often drifted into swims, quiet reflection, or time in the spa.

It was a week of hands in clay, minds at ease, and hearts wide open, days spent shaping, glazing and creating side by side, surrounded by laughter and deep conversation.

We were truly blessed with the weather, with soft golden light pouring into the studio and warm afternoons that invited us to linger by the pool.

A retreat that reminded us how grounding and fulfilling it is to create something beautiful from the earth, and to share it with kindred spirits.
